Short Description
I have grown and lived in a small metropolis in the Southern part of the United States. I am a Political Science and International Development major, though I am attending nursing school soon (funny where life takes you, huh?). I was kind of an ugly duckling growing up, so I guess my fixation with beauty is somewhat understandable. I have studied fashion and costume design independently, and my favorite fashion designer was Alexander McQueen (I am also inspired by Eley Kishimoto, Miuccia Prada, Viv Westwood and Marni). I was never wealthy enough to afford any of his designs before his passing, which is extremely sad to me. He still inspires me to this day to aim for all things beautiful.

To be honest, I started this website after looking through a lot of fashion and beauty websites and enviously watching makeup gurus who seemed to be able to make a product work with the flick of a wrist. I am not lucky enough to have sponsorships, and the bulk of the products I tried were GARBAGE. I'm generally a nice person, but if you're going to put a product on store shelves, have the decency to make it good! So, with a little envy running through my veins and an empty pocketbook, I started this whole hot mess that is now the oddly named Dizzy and the Beast.

On a fluffier note, I am obsessed with Pom Pom Purin from the Sanrio collection, violent video games (I'm big on Fallout 3 and Mass Effect), Pikachu, Mega Man, red wine, tofu (why does this block of curd taste so mothereffing GOOD?!), and my Netflix Instant Queue. I love soccer (football for those of you who aren't American) and football (North American football for those of you who aren't American hah!).I  listen to a lot of music. I went through a phase in high school where I was obsessed with MTV2's Subterranean (still am...). Then I went through my indie phase. I finally got out of that and now I'd say I'm fairly balanced, though I'm horribly intolerant of mainstream pop as it is.

Well. I think I said enough.
